i think second cup hamra has a deal with them… plus the cake balls sold at second cup are (slightly) bigger than the ones sold at gustav so may justify some of the extra cost (and implies a deal)
other incidents i don’t know.

The language you use “getting away with it” makes it sound like its a crime. It’s not. It’s their right to sell it for as much as they want. You have the right not to buy any.
Yeah – I had asked them about that. Apparently the SC cakeballs are 1.5x the size of a regular Gustav one…but, of course, the price is more than 1.5x 🙂
While price–an exorbitant one at that–is certainly one issue, it’s Second Cup’s underhand selling strategy that really disturbs me. Let the consumer decide whether s/he wants to be robbed!
