Beirut Beer – A new beer from Kassatly Chtaura

beirut beer

Looks like the spirits industry is one of the hot investments in the country right now as we keep hearing about both entrepreneurs and big companies releasing new alcoholic beverages. Over the past few years 961 beer was launched and several wineries were established in Bekaa and the north, and earlier this year we got J2 Vodka (Polish made with Lebanese water) while Almaza kept on updating their offering with both Almaza light and Almaza lemon.

And just today, I was browsing Massabki’s page on Facebook when I was surprised to learn that Kassatly Chtaura are also launching a new beer in Lebanon called “Beirut Beer”, which is going to be produced in the Bekaa valey and will be available in supermarkets over the coming few days.

I also managed to find the below two ads for it on YouTube and they seemed a bit similar to Buzz’s ads (another product of Kassatly).

well that’s a shame ! after 961 and colonel beer one might think that there is hope for a beer culture to grow in Lebanon, then comes this a beer ad that might as well be an ad for any alco pop or even soft drink maybe ! We’ll have to taste the beer for the final verdict, but by the looks of the ads it’s going to be another almaza and it’s going to disappoint.

After tasting the beer, it seems that the producer is aiming high, quality wise.
It is so different from Almaza, it is a real pils but slightly less bitter, this might be adapted to the Lebanese taste.
    cheers

While I buy your beirut since its introduction to the market, I must add that your current advertising on all Lebanese channel is very silly and long which is very boring to hear it continuously.

    Dear sirs,
Thank you: thank you very much for introducing your extremely delicious Beirut Beer. We used to drink Almaza beer but no more.
Yours, we assure you, is the very very best beer people tasted.
We wish you the very good luck.
Ah: I always wonder why the letter “T” of the word Beirut has two dots over it.
    Thank you again.
    George
