Sorry, but we like to rip you off!

If you are a gamer like me, you might have noticed a not so subtle increase in the price of PSN (PlayStation Network) cards. These were previously priced at 22$ for the 20$ card and 55$ for the 50$ card. Currently the latter is selling for a whooping 65$. So you can forget about the digital purchase of games since the amount you’ll be saving on the game’s price you’ll be paying on the price of the PSN card.

If you know the reason for this increase kindly share in the comment section!

P.S: the prices mentioned above are from Virgin Megastore.

I still have never used it to buy PSN vouchers, but if you’re a Banque Audi or BankMed client you can download the Pin Pay app and buy PSN vouchers directly from your bank account. The prices are $13 for $10 credit and $23 for $20. There are no larger denominations but it seems their markup is much lower than Virgin’s!

I noticed, that if before i was able to buy US PSN cards at Amazon by price advertised on them $50 for $50, it seems Sony closed all doors to buy US PSN cards. I believe it is Sony step to rip off “3rd world countries” to increase their profit, because citizens of this countries can’t fight, and they are helpless and defenceless.
Sony are badly losing money after they detained Geohot hacker, and hackers screwed all their infrastructure as revenge. Microsoft also with their reputation not in best shape, and only what this two big players can do – squeeze all juices from their customers (who are enough stupid to stay with them), and then die, leaving in cold all their customers.
I switched to steam+pc (as i know they have also some hardware for steam too) and i dont regret that.
