+961 is a collection of posts about events and stuff I see in Lebanon. The main reason for building this blog was my interest in citizen journalism and the joy I find in reporting what I see around me, in addition to sharing photos I take around Lebanon from time to time.

Why +961?

+961 is the country calling code for Lebanon, and it seemed like a cool alternative for “Lebanon” since all of the domains I had in mind were registered.

Who is Rami?

Holding a BS in computer science, and currently pursuing an MBA in Management Information Systems, Rami is an IT Consultant/Auditor wannabe, with interest in social media and photography.

Walid I really don’t know about the distance but I recently asked a friend of mine who lives in Ain Saadeh if he can see it from his house and said no (although he can see all of Beirut from his balcony)
