Ziad Rahbani 24/7

ziad-rahbani

I’m a fan of Ziad Rahbani, not the kind of fans that consider him a god, but I do love his work and I was glad to stumble upon a new cool radio station that airs nothing but his plays and music!

The station is broadcasting on 105.7 MHz and I’ve been listening to it on my way to work or home over the last few days to enjoy Ziad’s jokes that never get old.

I’m not sure until when the broadcast will remain the same but I believe it won’t be long until a new radio station is launched. So for now, just enjoy the laughs and good music before trendy Arabic songs take over!

Videos from Sting’s concert in Beirut

Check these two videos by Joe from Sting’s concert at BIEL which was part of his “Back to Bass” 2012 tour. I did not attend, but judging from the tweets I was reading I guess everyone had a blast that night!

Beirut Jam Sessions

Beirut Jam Sessions is the coming together of three passionate music lovers whose goal is to bring good music to Lebanon.

Those guys do so by featuring Lebanese bands and artists on their YouTube channel, in addition to bringing talented foreign artists, such as Emilie Gassin and Nadeah, to perform here in Lebanon.

Their upcoming concert is on November 27th at Solea V Sin El Fil, and will feature a 3 man band called “Pony Pony Run Run” from Nantes, along with a Lebanese band called Goldfish Parade (featured in the video above) who will be performing the opening act of this event.

Make sure to check Beirut Jam Sessions’ work on YouTube to get a glimpse of their taste in music, and if you’re interested in attending “Pony Pony Run Run” concert, tickets are currently selling for $25 at all Virgin Ticketing branches.

Xriss Jor performance on The Voice

Xriss Jor is a Lebanese contestant on the Arabic version of “The Voice” currently being aired on MBC. Judging by her first performance, she looks so talented and promises to hopefully make it to the final rounds.

You can follow and support Xriss on both of her twitter account and Facebook page. I have no idea by the way why does she write her name this way…
