Graffiti in Hamra

As I was walking in Hamra on Saturday, I encountered a group of guys at the end of the Hamra street doing graffiti.

I had a small chit-chat with them and learned that they call themselves “the REK crew” (Red Eye Kamikazes), as they said they have been doing graffiti in the same spot for several Saturday and they will be there this week.

I found a couple of groups for them on Facebook, the first is Bombing Beirut ( bombing is just another term for doing graffiti), and the second is REVO Graffiti Crew.

I of course didn’t leave the spot without taking some photos! (Click on the thumbnails to enlarge)

I saw Ziad Baroud!

I was driving near Concord (Verdun) around midnight on the second day of Eid when I was surprised to see the minister Ziad Baroud helping the internal security forces at one of their checkpoints! I quickly grabbed the camera and took this photo.

It’s good to know there are still some humble people out there…

Thunderstorm in Beirut

We had a thunderstorm last night in Beirut, and my friend Antoine from Adidap.com took this wonderful photo of Beirut from his balcony in Ain Saade during the storm.

The photo is stunning in my opinion and can be easily nominated the photo of the day on the Lebanese blogsphere! Sietske already blogged about it, and now it’s here on +961 ;)

P.S: This photo is part of Antoine’s PAD project (Picture A Day), he’s taking a photo every day and publishing on his flickr account. you may check his complete collection by clicking here.

Laser over Beirut

Have you noticed this laser light over Beirut recently?

This light originates from Moahammad Al Amine mosque in downtown Beirut.  I assume it points to the Kaabah (located in Mecca KSA) that muslims face during their prayer no matter where they are on earth.

More sexy girls from Lebanon

I usually trace where my visitors are coming from, and I have lately noticed that a significant number of them are coming through Google search for sexy Lebanese girls and such terms. After all it’s very true that sex sells!

So here you go again, another set of sexy Lebanese girls from a K-Lynn lingerie show a few weeks ago at Edde Sands.

Let’s see now how many people will come to this page by searching Google for sexy lebanese girls. And in order to assure Google will rank me high in search result I will make sure to repeat the search term again… sexy lebanese girls!

Oh by the way, none of these girls is Lebanese, they’re actually all from Europe and working for modelling agencies here in Lebanon. But who cares anyway, everybody believe they’re sexy lebanese girls!

P.S: I will be updating you on the result of this experiment.

Internal Security Forces are having good time!

I got this photo by e-mail today showing a couple of guys from the internal security forces. I believe this was taken somewhere near the Annahar building in downtown.

Nice catch!

Lebanese lingerie

I took this photo with my cell phone a while ago in Hamra.

The sign says “Al Da’wa center for teaching the holy Quran”… Funny place to position a sign!
