#TogetherAsOne Alex Demirdjian Racing at Spa Francorchamps for Lebanon and Armenia

After racing for Lebanon at Monza, and racing for Armenia at Paul Ricard, Alex Demirdjian and his team are racing this time at the Circuit Spa Francochamps in Belgium in the name of both countries raising the slogan #Driveforlife.

This stage of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup in Belgium is Total 24 Hours of Spa, and Alex along with his team will be revving the Ferrari 488’s engine for an ultimate test of endurance in the Pro-Am category race. So let’s wish them a good luck and hope for a good result!

I have already uploaded a video of Alex making a full lap around the circuit last night, and you can also follow the race live today on www.blancpain-gt-series.com/live.

Update:

Alex and the team scored a new milestone with a third-place finish in Spa Francorchamps’ 24-hour race! It wasn’t all easy for them though as they received three penalties throughout the race but still managed to make it.

They originally took off from the 7th position but thanks to their successful strategy and the alternation of drivers especially during the last four hours of the race, Dermidjian and the two other drivers managed to finish on the podium and eventually raise the Lebanese and Armenian flags together.

Lebanese Alex Demirdjian is Competing in a 3 Hours Endurance Race at Monza

As part of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, Lebanese driver Alex Demirdjian (also CEO of Demco Steel) along with two other team mates is competing this weekend April 22nd and 23rd in the second round of the series, the TM Performance 3 Hours of Monza, which is an endurance race that will be held at Monza circuit in Italy.

A total of 53 teams will be participating and Alex will be competing aboard a Ferrari 488 GT3 with the “Lebanon is calling” slogan all over it.

A friend will be attending the event and promised to try to send me some photos and I will definitely be sharing them here if she did. In all cases, let’s all cross our fingers for Alex!

Red Bull RB7 Meets Byblos and The Cedars of God

IMG_1936.JPG

For all of us who have never attended a Fromula 1 race yet, Red Bull made it up by bringing Carlos Sainz Jr. to burn some rubber in his RB7 racing cat at Beirut Waterfront. The event was unfortunately a bit dull for me as I couldn’t attend and watched it on TV instead which sometimes doesn’t give you a sense of how fast the car was going. I hope some professional videos will soon be available online, including some shots from an onboard camera would be cool too!

Anyway, well before the event, the Red Bull team took the RB7 for a photo shoot around Byblos and the Cedars of God. I found this set of resultant photos on motorsport.com and thought of sharing them here because they’re pretty cool.

I couldn’t find the name of the photographer by the way, so if anyone knows it please leave a comment to credit him/her properly.
