Bouza 3a Kousa and Other Weird Flavors at Fadi Fruits

Fadi is a quite popular fruit and vegetable store in Jnah that has been recently making rounds around social networks for the zucchini-flavored ice cream. The thing eventually went viral simply because “bouza 3a kousa” has been always regarded among the least appetizing things to try.

And it seems like he’s intending to continue with these weird flavors! Over the last few days he posted about spicy chocolate ice cream, and just today he added a new beetroot flavor!

Aside from ice cream, Fadi is well known by the way for the high quality vegetables (at a relatively high price) and the seasonal products that you can’t easily find in other stores.

Lebanese Hairdresser Uses Nutella to Color Women’s Hair

I just stumbled upon this Instagram account by a Lebanese hairdresser named Abedallah Itani who uses Nutella, conensed milk, and cotton candy among other products to color women’s hair!

The idea sounds crazy indeed but judging from the videos he posts it seems that it somehow works! I’m not sure though how long does the resultant color last or how bad does the hair smells afterwards… I mean I enjoy the smell of Nutella but I doubt anybody would want to have it on them all day long!

The new Unica Dark

unica-dark

Gandour’s Unica is among my favorite chocolate wafer bars, so I was curious to try the new dark version ever since I started spotting billboards of it last week.

I picked it from a nearby mini market today and I found it to taste really good, in fact I now prefer it over the original Unica as I generally prefer dark chocolate over milk chocolate anytime.

Best of all, Unica Dark’s price is exactly as the regular Unica, 500L.L for the big size, which keeps it among the cheapest snacks!

Tarboush price increased to 500 L.L

gandour tarboush price tag

I never believed that the price of Gandour’s Tarboush has increased from 250L.L to 500L.L until I saw it at one of the supermarkets a few days ago.

This was a bit hard to believe since Gandour are best known for fixing their products prices at 250L.L each for more than 20 years now, but I think the increase is totally justified since the cost of raw material have been increasing over the years too, so it would only make sense for Gandour to do as others do and increase their prices as well.

However, and while people might keep buying Tarboush despite the price increase, I highly doubt their other products will keep selling if they increased their prices too. I mean let’s be honest, Gandour doesn’t produce the finest products, and at 500L.L, people and especially kids will have a lot of alternatives to choose from. Think about Unica at 500L.L for example, wouldn’t you prefer to get a Nouba mini bar instead of it?

Le Montagnou Faraya – A social dining experience

A cold weather and a good company is all you need to enjoy a pierrade at Le Montagnou Faraya! The restaurant has a really beautiful scenery in daytime, and feels really cozy at night.

I had a mushroom soup as a starter with a small share of a grilled chicken fillet course, and they both tasted good.

Then came the yummi pierrade with this large pot of cholesterol melted cheese. I had to deal with some guilt afterward but it was ok! 😛

… but I got a bit disappointed towards the end with the chocolate fondue, as the chocolate didn’t really taste the way it should be.

Anyway, having a friendly staff, a nice atmosphere, and good food, the place is totally recommended!
