Giveaway – Weekend stay for two at Pinea Campus

Pinea Campus (5)

Pinea Campus is one of the few campsites I know about in Lebanon. The place is located in Haitoura, Jezzine and spreads on a 3,000 sqm land that is surrounded by a large stone pines forest.

Pinea Campus can currently accommodate more than 50 campers throughout the summers in high quality waterproof tents that can fit 2 to 8 people each, which is pretty suitable in my opinions for couples, families and even group of friends. The amenities also include camping mattresses, covers and pillows, toilets, and showers.

Aside from camping, several outdoor activities are available such as ATV rides, trap shooting (tiro), biking, and hiking. Moreover, you can enjoy a BBQ for lunch every Sunday.

For more information about the tent rental and activities fees, make sure to check their website here. (Specifically the “Camping” and “Activities” pages)

Now if you’re already tempted to spend a weekend getaway there, the great people at Pinea Campus are offering a camping stay for two including the tent rental and breakfast for free. To get it, just leave a comment on this post and I’ll be randomly choosing a winner by Thursday night.

Update:

Youmna, you’ve got mail. 🙂 Mabrouk!

Kidnapping is the new profitable business in Lebanon

mokdad clan

Check out this interesting report in Al-Safir today about the recent kidnapping incidents that happened over the last year in Lebanon. So far, the responsible groups for these kidnappings were able to collect more than $16 million out of 19 operations, moreover one gangster is even coordinating these operations from inside Roumieh Prison where he’s arrested!

And it doesn’t seem like kidnapping for ransom is going to stop anytime soon, due to the fact that the kidnappers belong to well known large crime families in Bekaa, so arresting few members will not eventually put an end to the whole thing. In addition, these groups just seem to have a strong appetite for making big money.

What Rami says:

What I liked:

  • Their friendly online customer service agent. I had a chat with them today pretending to be a customer and they were very helpful.
  • The links on the left that make it easy on you to reach what you need to order based on your budget, occasion, theme, or recipient.
  • They have an actual showroom unlike other Lebanese flowers & gifts websites.

What I disliked:

  • Their blog, the posts are not related at all to each other. One post for example is about artificial rain! It should be used to communicate more with the readers. Maybe update them on the upcoming products.
  • The overall design of the website. I am no design expert, but I think there’s room for improvement in the website layout.
