Giveaway Day 5 – Superga Classic 2750 Sneakers

Today’s giveaway is presented by Superga, one of my favorite shoe brands in town. My friends there are generously providing a pair of sneakers from the Superga Classic 2750 collection (image below) and you get to choose the color you desire. Aside from their trendy designs, what I love about Superga is how comfy they are. I know this is the least you should get from a pair of sneakers but they’re seriously super comfortable. I bought a pair last year before going on a trip and they got me through full days of walking and sightseeing.

Few weeks ago they released a cool new model, the Superga Sport Lendl, in honor of the world tennis legend Ivan Lendl. The white ones have a color part of the back with Lendl’s signature in gold and I’m honestly having a hard time resisting getting one!

Anyway, to qualify for the draw, go to +961’s page on Facebook, like the giveaway post and tag your friends in a comment. A winner will be randomly chosen and announced tomorrow morning, and I will message him/her for instructions on how to claim his/her pair of sneakers.

The french onion soup at Duo

French onion soup is one of the upsides of winter for me. Most restaurants here serve it in regular soup bowls along with croutons, while few other serve it in bread bowl after scooping out the inside of it, and one of these restaurants is Duo (Downtown, Verdun, ABC Ashrafieh, and ABC Dbayeh).

I recently had Duo’s onion soup and found it pretty good. It was thick enough to my taste with the right amount of cheese on top of it, and the portion is relatively big and completely fulfilling. Totally recommended even though it’s a bit overpriced at 15,500L.L but worth the money.

Duo by the way is also quite famous for their rich salad bar priced at 22,000L.L.

Pasta Di Casa Clemenceau

Pasta Di Casa has got to be one of the best restaurants I’ve been to over the past months, a true gem! Located at the end of Jounblat street in Clemenceau, the restaurant’s exterior doesn’t look pretty much appealing, but the inside is really nice, it has a quiet simple decoration with old family photos on the walls making it feel so cozy.

Upon receiving our order, a couple of appetizers and a main dish for each of us, were surprised by how generous their portions are, in fact 3 our of the 4 of us didn’t even finish their meals.

I personally had a half portion of lasagna and tasted a bit of one of their steaks (“coeur de filet” I think) and shrimp pasta, all of which were really really good.

A meal for two with soft drinks at Pasta Di Casa will probably cost you 50,000L.L or even less, and the place if definitely recommended.
