Airboards Are Now Banned at Beirut Souks

beirut souks airboard

I just came across the best news on Facebook, Beirut Souks just announced that airboards are no longer welcome at their premises.

This is so relieving because you can’t believe how annoying it has become lately after the space became infested with teenagers on airboards and their heads buried in their phones.

Ever once in a while I take my 2 year old kid to the area near the cinemas for him to ride his scooter with , and I always feel worried about some airboard hitting him so I salute Beirut Souks for their decision.

City Mall already also banned airboards but I have no idea about the policy in ABC, Le Mall and City Centre.

Tamanna & Le Mall grant Charlie a trip to Barcelona

There was clapping and cheering, laughter and blushing faces. Moukarzel’s mother and father wiped away tears and smiles broke across their faces. Moukarzel is going on a free trip to Barcelona to watch his favorite team and favorite player Lionel Messi.

Moukarzel is a passionate Barcelona fan: He has memorized Barcelona’s games and Messi’s goals. Moukarzel is also afflicted with a chronic, degenerative disease that has him wheelchair bound and robbed of his normal speech. His prognosis is grim.

A group that helps children with critical illnesses, Tamanna, asked Moukarzel last month what he wanted to do above anything else. He said he wanted to see Messi play.

“Is there anything else?” they asked. “Messi,” he repeated. Just Messi. Source

Grendizer figurine at Le Mall Dbayyeh

I was surprised to spot this small Grendizer figurine selling at Joué Club in Le Mall Dbayyeh along with a Grendizer mug and keychain. I mean I’m sure kids nowadays have no idea what Grendizer is all about.

Anyway, I bet they’ll make a cool gift idea to people who used to watch it religiously back in the 80’s and 90’s like me. The figurine was selling for 39,000L.L, the mug for 19,000L.L but I don’t recall for how much exactly was the keychain.

A special way to celebrate Eid at Le Mall Saida

The folks at Le Mall Saida have chosen to celebrate Ramadan and Eid with their own special way. Between September 1 and 10, Le Mall will be donating part of its profit for an hour a day to the Children’s Cancer Center.

Anyone shopping there between 11PM and midnight on those 10 days has to just drop his/her receipt in the special box at the mall entrance, and part of it will be donated by Le Mall. This way you’ll be helping a worthy cause while shopping for Eid. More about the event can be found here.

Good move, don’t you think?
