Giveaway Day 5 – Superga Classic 2750 Sneakers

Today’s giveaway is presented by Superga, one of my favorite shoe brands in town. My friends there are generously providing a pair of sneakers from the Superga Classic 2750 collection (image below) and you get to choose the color you desire. Aside from their trendy designs, what I love about Superga is how comfy they are. I know this is the least you should get from a pair of sneakers but they’re seriously super comfortable. I bought a pair last year before going on a trip and they got me through full days of walking and sightseeing.

Few weeks ago they released a cool new model, the Superga Sport Lendl, in honor of the world tennis legend Ivan Lendl. The white ones have a color part of the back with Lendl’s signature in gold and I’m honestly having a hard time resisting getting one!

Anyway, to qualify for the draw, go to +961’s page on Facebook, like the giveaway post and tag your friends in a comment. A winner will be randomly chosen and announced tomorrow morning, and I will message him/her for instructions on how to claim his/her pair of sneakers.

Nathaly Fadlallah to run for the 2013 parliamentary elections

Nathalie-Fadlallah

Nathaly Fadlallah, owner of a modelling agency in Lebanon, lately announced she’s going to be a candidate in the next Lebanese elections and wants to introduce some “revolutionary” ideas to the parliament.

One might wonder what accomplishments qualify her to become an MP, but she actually got some Playboy playmates to come to Lebanon back in 2010 which is basically better than whatever was accomplished by our current MPs in the previous 4 years!

We almost made it to Playboy!

Dominique Hourani claimed in a recent interview in Men El Ekhir on MTV that she once got an offer from Playboy to pose semi naked in a photoshoot and she rejected it. Not sure how true is her claim, but can you imagine the media buzz that a Lebanese model would generate if she ever made to the cover of Playboy?

I already set the video the start at the part when Dominique starts talking about the offer.

Lebanese American artist builds cool Lego sculptures

Nathan Sawaya is a Lebanese American artist who builds 3-dimensional models from Lego toy bricks, and his latest creations are 2 sculptures of Conan O’Brien and Stephen Colbert!

As you can see, Sawaya is somewhat of a LEGO art savant — his New York studio is currently filled with 1.5 million colored bricks. He makes everything from human figures to architectural models to portraits out of the colorful toy bricks, delighting kids and adults alike with his creations. And we were impressed to hear him say in a recent interview on New York Nonstop that many of the LEGO pieces he uses are recycled.

You can read it all about it here.
