Eb7ar – Helping Underprivileged Children Stay Warm This Season

A friend of mine recently introduced me to a relatively young NGO called “Eb7ar” (or Sailing in Arabic) that serves to help needy communities.

They are currently organizing their first campaign (A journey to warmth) which aims to provide children aged between 3 and 12 years with basic clothing to keep them warm during winter time, and for that they have came to an agreement with a local supplier to provide them with a package comprising a scarf, a hat, gloves, socks and a cover, at a cost of 15,000L.L per package.

However, they unfortunately can’t do it all by themselves, and to help them reach the maximum number of kids, Eb7ar is calling for donations as little as 15,000L.L in order for them to reach their intended target to keep as much children as they can warm this season.

You can get in contact with them through Facebook and Instagram if you wish to take part in their campaign.

Custom fees to be imposed on orders from AliExpress?

aliexpress-logo

I’m not a big fan of AliExpress as I have tried it once and wasn’t very satisfied with the stuff I received, however I know a lot of people who are literally addicted to it and keep ordering cheap stuff from it!

The reason why these people love AliExpress is because they pay very low shipping fees and absolutely no custom dues when their packages arrive to Lebanon since they’re labeled as gifts, which sounds like a steal if the stuff you’re ordering are of really good value.

However, I’ve been hearing from several sources lately that the Lebanese Customs will soon be forcing high fees on all packages received from AliExpress due to the large amount of orders being placed and affecting local sellers here. But I couldn’t make sure if this is really going to happen or not, so it would be good if someone from LibanPost or the Lebanese customs can confirm or deny it.

eezmeez.com

For those who don’t know about it yet, eezmeez.com is a Lebanese online t-shirt store offering cool and sarcastic designs. I got to try them earlier this month and was quite happy with the t-shirt I got.

My main concerns when it comes to buying clothing items online is how good the fabric will be, and if I’ll get my size correctly, but fortunately eezmeez got these two covered.

The overall ordering process was quite smooth and easy. Regarding the size, I had absolutely no difficulty choosing the right one thanks to their T-shirt size guide which specifies the dimensions of each size they have. And when I got the t-shirt, it turned out of a really superior quality.

The t-shirts prices start at $20 for kids and $24 for adults (for both men and women), which I believe is fair given their original designs, plus an additional $4 delivery charge if you’re in Beirut and the surroundings, or a bit more depending on how far from Beirut is your location, and it’ll take up to 7 days for your t-shirt to get delivered.

Make sure to check their collection if you would like to order one of their t-shirts. I personally got the jongar one in the above photo, which along with the other designs make a cool gift idea in my opinion.
