Belghalat – A Satire Musical by Michelle & Noel Keserwany

michelle and noel keserwany

The famous Michelle and Noel Keserwany are collaborating with M Media on a satirical musical called “Belghalat”. The project is made of four episodes each criticizing a certain side of life in Lebanon through their witty songs.

Judging by the songs they made so far like Jagal El Usek, 3al Jamal bi Wasat Beirut, and Zaffatleh El Tarik, I highly doubt the upcoming series will be any less better than the previous videos.

The first episode will go online on February 15th, but I have no idea if the subsequent ones will be posted on a daily or weekly basis. Anyway, for now you can watch this teaser that M Media posted today.

Fasateen – Lebanese web drama series

Fasateen (Dresses) follows the lives of three very different Beiruti women. Meet Aliya, a single mother; Lama, the bored, flirtatious housewife to a rich husband; and Karma, a single career woman with a secret. Fasateen – because life isn’t a dress rehearsal.

You can follow Fasateen here on Yahoo! Screen. News episodes are released on Tuesdays, with 2 alternative endings on Thursdays.

Web series – Mamnou3!

Mamnou3 is a new Lebanese web-series  parody about the day-to-day inner workings of the country’s censorship bureau, and is set to debute on the 1st of July.

It would be really ironic if the General Security ended up banning Mamnou3 for “endangering Lebanon security” just like they did with Beirut Hotel and many other movies!

Confessions of Lebanese taxi driver

Here’s one epic taxi driver. In just less than 30 seconds he managed to tell two Norwegian actors about  his dream, almost crash into another car, and of course curse at the other driver!

The two actors are actually Jorgen and Matias, who over a period of 3 weeks shot a web series of 14 episodes while walking across Lebanon from north to south, and in each episode they chose to walk for a different cause, thus the name of series “Walk of Causes”. You may check the series website here, and their blog here.

The Ed and Moe show

I just found this funny web series called “Ed and Moe show” portraying the life of two best friends who left their jobs and started planning to become successful businessmen.

It gets interesting knowing that Moe (Moe Makki) is actually of Lebanese origins, and living in Dearborn right in the middle of what is known as “Little Lebanon” in USA.

They have a complete season on their website right now. I wonder if there will be a second one soon.
