Maxime Chaaya to set a new world record today?

I’ve been following RowingTheIndianOcean.com on a regular basis to keep up with Maxime Chaaya’s progress on his new adventure. And I just noticed now he has less than 20Km to reach the island of Mauritius, so he will most probably finish crossing the ocean by today I guess.
This means his team will not only be the first 3-man team to cross the indian ocean, but also the fastest since the current record is held by the 8 person crew who took 58 days 15 hours and 8 minutes to complete the row back in 2009, and Maxime Chaaya’s team has until tomorrow night to break it. I wish them all the luck!

961 Beer featured in The New York Times
Forget the idea that religion or the effects of war might preclude the success of a Lebanese brewery. It’s true that many Muslims abstain from alcohol. But plenty of people in the Middle East love to drink, and this is especially true in Lebanon, where the religious plurality includes a thriving Christian population — and besides, people seek alcohol during hard times, said Mazen Hajjar, a former investment banker and airline executive who started 961 Beer.
But there has been a problem. For 80 years, Lebanon “has been drinking fizzy, light beers,” he said. “I wanted to brew real beer.”
His company makes a beer that was named best lager at the Hong Kong International Beer Awards last year. Other regular offerings from 961 include a red ale, a pale ale, a stout, a porter, a witbier and, starting this summer, a black IPA, or India pale ale.

Happy Lebanese Army Day
For all the sacrifices the Lebanese army has made for us, it deserve much more than one day of commemoration every year. Better military equipments, be it from USA or Iran, and unconditional support from all the political parties are definitely the least our fellow troops should be granted. (And possibly less requests to make video clips)
