Ziad Rahbani in concert next week
I was so glad to read that Ziad Rahbani will be performing in a concert next week as I’m a big fan of him. The concert will be held at a place called Event Hill near Le Royal Hotel on December 20th and 21st at 9PM.
Tickets will be available as of Monday at Boueiry Press Kasklik, Maarouf Saad Center, and possibly at Al-Akhbar as mentioned in Elie’s post, and will be priced at $40, $50, and $60 including an open buffet and regular drinks.
I trust the tickets will run out so fast but I hope I’ll get one for myself!

The order of nurses should loosen up a bit
Do you recall the XXL ad featuring nurses in an elderly care center? That ad stopped showing on Lebanese TVs a while ago, and it turned out it was the order who called for banning it because they believed it gave nurses a bad image, just as in the case with “My last valentine in Beirut“. The news was mentioned on the order of nurses Facebook page, as well as at the end of this article in L’Orient-Le Jour.
Those people should really loosen up a bit!

MoT to start collecting all mobile subscribers information
I just heard an announcement on the radio that all mobile subscribers will be soon required to submit their personal information (a copy of their ID + a recent photo) to the ministry of telecommunications in order to keep track of who’s using each an every mobile number in Lebanon.
Mobile shop owners will be responsible for collecting the information of those who buy new phone lines, while existing subscribers will have to submit their information within a few months from now, and their lines will be automatically deactivated if they failed to comply with the deadline (I’ll update the post with the exact date as soon as I know it).
I guess this will be so annoying especially when you decide to sell your phone line, since you will have to make sure the buyer registers it under his name so that you don’t hold responsibility of anything he/she does with it!
