Almaza is as usual keeping up with Lebanon’s heated discussions, but I have mixed feelings about this poster.

Gotta respect how quick and professional they are!

As you probably already know, I’m teaming up with Lebtivity to bring you on Wednesday of each week 10 handpicked events or things to do in Lebanon to inspire your plans for the week.
I’ll try to make the events I choose everytime as diverse as I can ranging from theater plays to restaurants specials and outdoor activities. Below are the the 10 plans I picked for this week.
For more plans, you can of course check lebtivity.com and browse through their endless list!

The cold weather that we are experiencing this weekend is bringing much needed snow to our mountains and Faraya seems to have got a good amount so far.
The cold front is supposed to last over the next week I think and more snow is expected, so the slopes may probably open in the next couple of weekends.
Below is a photo showing how the slopes in Faraya looked like on the same day of the previous year (January 3rd 2014), so 2015 looks definitely promising.

I just stumbled upon this photo by Roadster diner on Facebook announcing that they’re opening soon in Zaitunay Bay.
With Classic Burger Joint and some coffee shops already operating there, I believe it’s pretty good to see Roadster opening as well which helps making Zaitunay Bay more accessible to average people, especially that it was labeled as a spot for the rich people when it was first launched.
Update:
As per Beirutista, P.F. Chang’s is also coming to Zaitunay Bay.

Where else other than Lebanon do you get to see some guy pulling a stunt on a busy intersection and saluting a police officer?

Bernard’s predictions are becoming a yearly traditions and the guy is in my opinion funnier than most of the people you see on comedy shows nowadays.

It’s true it’s almost new year but most of my friends and myself have absolutely no idea yet what are we doing on Wednesday night. But this is of course a déjà vu since we always end up coming up with a last minute plan to gather at somebody’s home. So for people like us who’ve got no plans yet for new year’s eve but don’t like to spend it home or at their friends, this post is for you with 15 ideas from Lebtivity.com.
You can of course find much more parties at Lebtivity’s dedicated page for NYE, but the above 15 were my favorites.
This is also an opportunity to tell you that starting next week I’ll be teaming up with the good people at Lebtivity to let you know about the most interesting events happening in Lebanon on a weekly basis. So stay tuned!

This woman from Saida must be very lucky! She almost got killed because of these two crashing cars.

The minute I saw this photos on twitter I knew it was some kind of a media stunt by the Lebanese Internal Security Forces. And the first thing that came to my mind was that they should have been working to ease the traffic congestion over the past few days instead of taking photos with Santa. But now that I saw the video I think it was a nice move.
In a country where people honk at you at a red light, I personally would have loved to get rewarded by the ISF for wearing the seatbelt!
