If you haven’t watched Chi.N.N latest episode yet then make sure to do so now. 30 Minutes is all it took for Salam Zaatari to tell the sad truth about Lebanon nowadays.

Charles Ayoub begs Bashar Al-Assad for money

I’m not sure what Charles Ayoub has been smoking lately, but it sure seems like good stuff. The man wrote an article literally begging the Syrian president Bashar Al-Assad to lend him $700,000 since his newspaper (Addiyar) is going through a financial crisis, otherwise he’ll have to act against his father’s will and sell his house!
You can read the whole article here.

Fadel Shaker takes pride in killing two Lebanese soldiers
This guy is disgusting! I hope the news about him and Al-Assir fleeing to Syria are false and that the Lebanese army capture them as soon as possible.

Photos from the clashes in Saida
The clashes between Ahmad Al-Assir gunmen and the Lebanese army have been going for around 24 hours now and it seems like the army is determined on either arresting Ahmad Al-Assir or getting him out of his complex in a body bag.
According to The Daily Star, the clashes have so far claimed the lives of at least 17 soldiers and more than 25 gunmen.
Below are some photos I managed to collect through twitter as well as a video showing some bodies of the gunmen. I hope it all end soon for the good people of Saida.

Another vibrator ad from the 1960s
Looks like these “massaging devices” were quite popular back in the 60s! You can check another ad I posted last year here.
Even though selling sex toys is considered illegal in Lebanon, I always spot some vibrators on display at some pharmacies like Mazen in Cornishe El Mazraa.
I guess legalizing these toys will definitely ease the tension between the sexually frustrated fighting militias nowadays!

Mobile and twitter usage pattern in Lebanon
I just stumbled upon this cool website that made use of more than 280 million tweets to reveal geographic mobile and twitter usage patterns.
The above screenshot shows the usage pattern in Beirut. But looking at Lebanon map, you can notice that most mobile twitter users are located in or around Beirut, and the majority of these people use either iPhone or Android.
Thank you Mireille

The sorry state of Lebanon
The below video sums up pretty much the current situation in Lebanon. Slowly but surely, gunmen all over the country seem to gain more control on the ground, while the army is appearing weak and helpless.
Back when I wrote that the army should be firmer when dealing with these militias, everyone and their mothers started attacking me and called me ignorant, and I admitted back then that calling for bombing Ersal was too extreme from me. So I really want to know what do these people suggest to stop such groups from hijacking entire towns and areas whenever they please!
