Here’s how are the clashes like in Tripoli

Few thugs have been ruling this beautiful city for more than 5 or 6 years now, and I don’t see it ending anytime soon until one party totally defeats the other. Yet they’re almost equal in power, so it’s more like getting stuck in an endless loop.

Ramadan in Tripoli

I was browsing through Facebook the other day and came across these cool photos of Tripoli streets during Ramadan, all taken by the talented Nour Kabbara.

If you live somewhere outside Tripoli, you can’t but notice how much more authentic Ramadan feels in that beautiful city! Having a Suhoor there someday is definitely on my to-do list.

Footage of the gunmen storming Tripoli’s Islamic Hospital

This country is seriously going beyond insane. A group of gunmen stormed into Tripoli’s Islamic Hospital last night and released a detainee called Mohamad Youssef, who was arrested for opening fire on minister Faisal Karami’s convoy a while ago, after beating up the police men who were guarding him.

Weirdly enough, the man was handed back to the security forces some hours later!
