Make sure to check these cool recent photos Al-Akhbar has published from inside the Picadilly theater in Hamra. This theater is most famous for hosting several performances by Fayrouz and Ziad El-Rahbani, but a fire unfortunately broke out in it back in the 90s and has been inactive ever since.
In an ideal world, someone would take the initiative to renovate the Picadilly and Zaid El-Rahbani would come back to it for a new performance! (One can always dream..)
I had the opportunity to watch 3arisein midri min wein for Marwan Najjar in early 90s and Lawla Fos7ato al2amali for Ziad in 1994.
It is so SAD to see these photos… I hope someone can renovate it.
